Fashion Design by Aliya Elsamadony
2023 D. Bradley Smith Art Purchase Award Winner

Aliya's piece is composed of four fashion designs, each accompanied by a detailed description of the fabrics for their construction.

Although Aliya has always sketched, it wasn't until her sophomore year that she became serious about art. Then last summer, after her junior year, she went to New York City to take two classes at the Fashion Institute of Technology.

That experience solidified her passion and future direction. She will return to FIT for college in the fall. Her goal is to become the creative director for a fashion line.

In addition to designing clothes Aliya enjoys being active outdoors, particularly running.
