Back Chest Waders

Wading in Buckland Creek

If you're going to do real work in a stream or pond, chest waders and a good net are basic equipment. At the right, members of the Environmental Club put the chest waders to work during a clean-up session on Buckland Creek.

This equipment was used to great effect by student Mary Zoller in completing a long-term project monitoring the water quality in Buckland Creek, adjacent to Brighton High School. She was assisted by Chris Dexter and their teacher, George Smith. Click here to see a slide presentation documenting her final report. Note: The presentation will open in a new browser window. Just close that window to return to this page.
