Photographs by Eisabella Abu-Sbaih
2021 D. Bradley Smith Art Purchase Award Winner
Eisa's D. Bradley Smith Award selection is a triptych of photos depicting an adolescent girl dreaming of a life bigger than her own. Producing this series of pictures was the first photo shoot where Eisa did all the planning, styling and photography, a process she looks forward to doing much more often.
Eisa is deeply involved in an ever-growing exploration of creative expression in the arts. Over the years she has taken a wide variety of art classes but it was only this past year that she became very serious about photography and graphic design. She also writes, draws, embroiders, sews, and paints in gouache.
In addition to her artistic endeavors, Eisa has a deep love of dogs. With her mother, she fosters dogs, especially pit bulls and she has two pit bulls of her own.
Next fall she will attend Loyola University planning to major in communication. Ultimately she hopes to use her writing and visual talents to create her own magazine, a publication that will highlight writing, photography, and graphic design.
