This fund was established in memory of former school board member William W. Dieck. After his seven years on the Brighton Board of Education, Mr. Dieck continued his involvement with the district by serving on many district committees. A former engineer at Kodak, he volunteered as a student mentor with the middle school's technology program. He helped to guide the
Invention/Exploration Club and to prepare students for the competition at the annual E3 Technology Fair. His ability to share his excitement about engineering made him popular with the children. Mr. Dieck's other passion was music.
In allocating money from the William W. Dieck Fund we look to support his particular areas of interest. Some grants funded include:
