Back Thom Ward, Poet-in-Residence

Poet-in-residenceThom Ward, a published poet, spent time in every fifth-grade classroom, thanks to a Brighton Education Fund grant. Pictured here in Mary DuBois' classroom, Thom stimulated the students to write incredible poetry in a very short time. Some say it was the cheese hat...

Thom Ward's poetry has appeared in Atlantic Monthly, Christian Science Monitor, American Literary Review, Chelsea and other journals and anthologies. Thom attended Brighton schools through the eighth grade, and now lives in Palmyra, NY. He serves as editor/development director for BOA Editions Ltd., and he is an appointee to the Literature Panel of the New York State Council on the Arts. He teaches writing workshops at Roberts Wesleyan College and through the Writers & Books literary center.
